CE - Directive 2014/68/EU (PED)


Intercert Global Sp. z o. o. as a Notified Body NB 2957 carries out conformity assessment of products according to module B (production type), B (design type), C2, D, D1, E, E1, F, G, H1, in accordance with the essential requirements of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2014/ 68/EU of May 15, 2014 on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States relating to making pressure equipment available on the market, which was implemented into Polish law by the Regulation of the Minister of Development of November 11, 2016 on requirements for pressure equipment and assemblies of equipment (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 211).

What products are subject to certification for compliance with Directive 2014/68/EU?

The PED applies to pressure equipment such as: vessels, piping, safety accessories and pressure accessories, including components attached to pressurized parts, where applicable, such as: flanges, nozzles, connections, supports, lifting lugs.

How does the certification of products subject to Directive 2014/68/EU look like in ICG?

ICG conducts conformity assessment of products included in the scope of the granted authorization and notification, which is available on the Nando website - ICG Notification.

Conformity assessment processes for individual modules have been developed on the basis of the requirements of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17065 standard and consist of 7 key stages, i.e.:

  1. Submission of an application for conformity assessment,
  2. Reviewing the application,
  3. Conformity Assessment Plan,
  4. Conformity assessments,
  5. Decisions in the process
  6. Certificate issuance,
  7. Supervision (if applicable).
