Intercert Global Sp. z o. o. as a Notified Body NB 2957, it carries out conformity assessment of products according to module B in accordance with the essential requirements of Directive 2014/53/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States concerning the making available on the market of radio equipment and repealing Directive 1999/ 5/EC, which was implemented into Polish law by the Regulation of the Minister of Digitization of June 17, 2016 on assessing the compliance of radio equipment with the requirements (Journal of Laws of 2016, item 878).

What products are subject to certification for compliance with Directive 2014/53/EU?

RED applies to radio equipment, which is an electrical or electronic product that intentionally emits or receives radio waves for the purposes of radio communication or radiodetermination, or an electrical or electronic product that must be supplemented with an additional component, such as an antenna, in order to intentionally emit or receive radio waves for radio communication or radiolocation purposes.

How does the certification of products subject to Directive 2014/53/EU look like in ICG?

ICG conducts conformity assessment of products included in the scope of the granted authorization and notification, which is available on the Nando website - ICG Notification.

The conformity assessment process was developed on the basis of the requirements of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17065 standard and consists of 6 key stages, i.e.:

  1. Submission of an application for conformity assessment,
  2. Reviewing the application,
  3. Conformity Assessment Plan,
  4. Conformity assessments,
  5. Decisions in the process
  6. Certificate issue.
