CE - Directive 2006/42/EC (MD)


Intercert Global Sp. z o. o. as a Notified Body NB 2957, it carries out conformity assessment of products according to module B in accordance with the essential requirements of Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of May 17, 2006 on machinery, amending Directive 95/16/EC, which has been implemented into law Polish Regulation of the Minister of Economy of 21 October 2008 on the essential requirements for machines (Journal of Laws 199, item 1228, as amended).

  1. What products are subject to certification for compliance with Directive 2006/42/EC?

The MD applies to the following products:

  1. machinery (as defined in point "a" of Article 2 of the Directive);
  2. removable equipment;
  3. safety elements;
  4. lifting accessories;
  5. chains, ropes and belts;
  6. removable mechanical transmission devices;
  7. partly completed machinery (as defined in letter "b÷g" of Article 2 of the Directive).

How does the certification of products subject to Directive 2006/42/EC look like in ICG?

ICG conducts conformity assessment for groups of products included in the scope of the granted authorization and notification, which is available on the Nando website - ICG Notification.

The conformity assessment process was developed on the basis of the requirements of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17065 standard and consists of 6 key stages, i.e.:

1. Submission of an application for conformity assessment,
2. Reviewing the application,
3. Conformity Assessment Plan,
4. Conformity assessments,
5. Decisions in the process
6. Certificate issue.
